The fastest way to reach Nic’s Plumbing is the phone. Call (206) 571-6044, tell us what the house is doing, and we take it from there. If you would rather type than talk, the short form below sends the same details straight to us, and email works too. Either way you end up in the same place: someone looks at the problem, you get three priced options on your phone, and nothing starts until you approve one.

Tell us what is going on
Five fields, under a minute. A sentence or two is plenty: “rusty water upstairs in a 1920s Ballard bungalow” or “water heater is 15 years old and making noise” tells us most of what we need to plan the first visit. If you already know you want a full estimate, the free Good / Better / Best quote page walks through how the three tiers work.
Schedule Service
Tell me what's going on and where. I'll take a look, then explain the options.
What happens after you call
Most people who call a plumber have been burned by one before, so here is the whole sequence in advance. It is the same for a dripping faucet and a whole-house repipe.
You call, email, or send the form
We ask a few plain questions: what you are seeing, roughly how old the house is, and whether anything is actively leaking. Then we set a visit time that fits your day.
We look
A technician comes out, lays runners before stepping inside, and traces what is actually happening: the pipe, the fixture, the drain, the water heater, and what the last remodel left behind.
Three options land on your phone
Good, Better and Best, written down with a price for each and what it includes. You read them at your own pace and approve one, or none. Nothing starts until you do.
A tracking link on work day
When your technician is on the way you get a link that shows them en route, so you are not waiting on a four-hour window.
The work
Runners down, work area covered, the fix you approved and nothing you did not. If we find something new in the wall, we stop and show you before changing the plan.
Photos and a clean room
Before-and-after pairs of every repair, the workspace sanitized, and the invoice matches the option you approved.
The full version, with what each step protects you from, is on our process page. If it is your first time hiring us, what to expect on a first visit covers the small stuff like parking, pets and where the water shutoff is.
If water is leaking right now
Shut the water off first, then call. The main shutoff in most older Seattle homes is where the supply line enters the house, usually in the basement, crawlspace or utility room near the front wall, and it turns clockwise to close. If it will not budge or you cannot find it, call anyway and we will talk you through it. Either way, call (206) 571-6044 and tell us the leak is active. We will tell you honestly how soon we can get there and what to do in the meantime. For a burst pipe or a water heater that is dumping water, see emergency leak and fixture repair.
Where we work
We serve eight Seattle neighborhoods, from the historic homes on the hill in Queen Anne to the condos and townhomes of South Lake Union and Belltown. Each page below covers the housing stock and the plumbing we typically find there.
- Queen Anne 98109, 98119
- Magnolia 98199
- Fremont 98103
- Ballard 98107, 98117
- Wallingford 98103
- South Lake Union 98109
- Belltown 98121
- Downtown Seattle 98101, 98104
Just outside one of these? Call anyway. If we cannot take the job we will say so plainly rather than keep you waiting. See the full service areas page for details.
Ready when you are
Call, or send the form and we will get back to you. No pressure, no surprise invoice, and three real options before anything starts.
Questions about getting in touch
What should I have ready when I call?
Nothing formal. It helps to know roughly when the house was built, what you are seeing and where, and whether it is happening right now or on and off. A photo of the pipe, fixture or water heater label is a bonus if you have one, and you can send it by email to fl@efellemedia.com after we talk. We will ask about parking and access before the visit.
Is the quote really free?
Yes. The written Good / Better / Best quote is free and there is no obligation to pick one. If the honest answer is that you need a small repair rather than the big job you were bracing for, that is what the quote will say. Details on how the three tiers are built are on the free quote page.
What if no one picks up?
Leave a message with your name, neighborhood and what is going on, or send the form on this page, and we will get back to you. If water is actively leaking, shut off the main first (see the note above) and say so in your message so we know it is urgent. We do not advertise around-the-clock service because we would rather tell you honestly when we can be there.
Do you work on condos and newer homes, or only old houses?
Both. Old Seattle houses are our specialty and most of our repipe and sewer work is in pre-1950 homes, but a leaking valve in a Belltown condo or a water heater swap in a South Lake Union townhome gets the same process: a look, three priced options, a tracking link, and photos. If your building has its own rules for contractors, tell us when you call and we will plan around them.
